DOOR OF HOPE - is a transitional living center campus in San Diego offering homeless women and their children a safe, healthy environment along with tools to create their new life. Every holiday season, the Mira Mesa Women’s Club supports Door of Hope through donations of toys, blankets, pillow cases, toiletries & other personal care items.

CHALK THE WALK - The Mira Mesa Art Festival is an exciting project of the Mira Mesa Women's Club to raise funds for Mira Mesa schools' visual arts programs by involving the whole Mira Mesa Community in a sidewalk chalk art festival. The setting is an informal and entertaining art festival as artists of all ages and skill levels will create works of art by drawing with pastels directly on the sidewalk.

Please contact us if you’d like to share your artistic abilities and join in the fun.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR - In 2018, the Mira Mesa Women’s Club awarded $5000 to four teachers of Mira Mesa High School. The four winners were chosen by the students themselves. We hope to support this exciting project again in 2019.

WALKER ELEMENTARY HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS - In 2017, using both Club and Community donations, this project, in its second year, supplied ten food baskets for needy families who were from Walker Elementary School. The MMWC matched each basket with $40 in Vons grocery gift cards for the purchase of perishable food items. We plan to reach even more families in 2018. Please reach out to help support this important project.

MIRA MESA YOUNG WOMEN'S COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS - Our scholarships are for high school senior young women who are high-achievers and are going into STEM majors in 2 or 4 year colleges. In May 2018, we awarded two scholarships to two Mira Mesa High School girls: Anabella Noguera and Trish Lai.

COMFORT CARE PILLOWS - For twenty years our club has offered emotional and physical comfort to breast cancer patients in the form of a pillow. These pillows are intended for post-surgical patients who have undergone Lumpectomy or Mastectomy surgeries. The pillow provides support under the patient’s arm while they are recovering from their procedure. These pillows have been shared all over the world and each one has been hand-sewn and, stuffed with love, by a member of the MMWC.
